Hi guys, anyone know where I can get 2nd hand moto-x wheels for a FS650?

Been looking around all the usual places but can't find any... :(

Thanks

Crispin

well they are about? they're everywhere on ebay usually?

you have a 2003+ don't you\/ so you need the big axle wheels and anything from 2003+ Husaberg and 2002+ KTM will do.

...and you know that you get a 19" wheel for MX and an 18" wheel for Enduro?

regards

Taffy

I might have a set I might part with.
the rear is from a 2002 ktm sx125 19" with a 52t sprocket and rear disc. wheel bearings need to be changed.
the front is from a 2002 or 2003 ktm sx125 with large axle included.

the problem with the KTM fron wheel is that the spokes hits the caliper unless you make some spacers to offset the disk. there is also a large ding in the rim.

I ran a front rim from a 2001 yz250 and made my own spacer plate for the disc and made adapters to fit the 200mm front axle in the 26mm forks of the husaberg.

If you want I could take some pics of the wheels

or go brand new with the warp 9 wheels if you are on a budget? very few riders seem to have probs with them for everyday riding.

re: the ktm wheels, i thought the 2002 models still had the 20mm axle then it was 2003+ that went to 26mm?

here are some pics of the wheels. the front is from a 2003 ktm sx125 21" and the rear is from a 2002 ktm sx125 19". the sprocket that will be coming with the wheels is not in the picture but is in good condition 52t vortex sprocket.wheels 001.jpg[/attachment:2sy7firo]wheels 005.jpg[/attachment:2sy7firo].

i'm looking for 200$ for them + shipping.

Thanks guys for the feedback.

Helithumper, thanks for the offer of those wheels. Shipping from Canada to UK will be quite expensive though, so I think I'll leave them. Big thanks all the same!

If any local chaps have a pair knocking around give me a shout? I'll keep looking on e-bay etc.

Thanks

Hi Taffy, found a set of KTM's on eBay, here is an answer to some questions I asked ref technical details, do these look like the right ones????

Ta La!

"hi , the wheels were for my ktm 450 sx 2008 model, so they are 2002+

the rear spindle is a 20 mm witch all ktm's are except the 2013 models are now 25mm rear spindle,

front wheel = 21 rear wheel = 19"

sounds spot on fella! probably not even a dull boring plain rims either.

Taffy

All, got a bit of a problem I hope you can help with.

Bought a set of wheels, come to fit the front wheel and the hub aperture is too small for the spindle.

The existing spindle is 26mm, the hub aperture of the new wheel is 20mm.

Is there anything that I can do (e.g. a different design of axel/20mm axel with fork sleaves or something)??

Thanks

Crispin

Its OK chaps, I got it after searching further, previously posted on here;

"Johnf3 s info is spot on- to put an early 20mm axle hub into 26mm forks you will need the 20mm hubbed wheel, a 20mm axle (and nut) and P.NO. SXS 03 540 400 spacer set."

Crispin

would you let us know a bit more about it as you go?

so this kit should go inside the 26mm wheel bearings and act as a spacer as well?

I like to know these things....

regards

Taffy

Yes, no problem Taffy, will photograph the bits when they arrive so you can see what it consists of.

Cheers

Nice search result. I wrote that a long time ago.

This is a factory KTM part that works great if you have the early 20mm hub and need to fit it to the 26mm hub.
