Settled in last night in front of the TV with a beer to watch the race after a day on the road bike. After a low side, it looks like the front tyre gripped and it steered back across the track, taking Simmo with it. Poor Edwards had nowhere to go but over him.
A shocker, very sad and definitely the right thing to do was stop and not restart the race.

Very tragic. Simoncelli was among the very top level riders despite being physically so much larger than his competitors. He was a real fighter and did not give away an inch of tarmac for free. MotoGP has lost one of its more colourful and promising riders. R.I.P. Super Sic!
