just read on a website that iddon was racing on a husaberg at round 2 of the motard masters is this right??

so has he signed for DCR or is he a privateer??
and wernt there some rumors alitlle while ago about this??

then how come there is nothing on theDCR website surely a big name signing like this would have been put on his website unless he has not actually signed yet he may be 'test riding' the new bikes??

so will he be racind the british and world (S2) championships on a husaberg

Whoops...the motard masters series has cancelled round 3 due to lack of entries..... hmm I wonder why?
Could it be that people are realising that 'a' its expensive 'b' the tracks are geared towards an organisers son or 'c' club racers are starting to realise that they are there purely to make up the numbers for the pro's and are treated as such by the organisers..... A bit of irony for you.
Promoter Tony Brock told me that although we pay the same entry as a pro rider(like they actually dip into their own pockets) we don't give as much value for money as the pro's. Perhaps Mr Brock and co should realise that they need us to make a full grid and they also need us lesser beings to nurture young, future talent....... remember, supercross is a totally different sport..and no one rides a 650 doing that...I think a point was proven when Peter Vorliczek whupped *** on a 250crf

having had the same "discussion" the point that the average everyday rider subsidises the meeting appears to have been overlooked / ignored :( and without them there is no meeting for the Pro’s to attend

Hi sticky.... My original talk with tony brock started because I rode the 1st test session at the 'new' 3 sisters track and complained that they had turned it into a 450 track. He initially thought I was scared of the tabletop but when I pointed out that I spent 10 yrs at mx and thought all tracks needed to have decent jumps, he had to think again. The new offroad section has been added at the expense of the rest of the track, turning what was probably the best allround track in the uk into a point n squirt sx track. I pointed out that I changed sprockets for differing tracks, not bikes. I rode a mates crf round and it flowed well but on my 650 the gearbox was pointless, 2nd and 3rd everywhere except the back straight.
Until my emails with Tony Brock I had the cheque to enter sat here waiting but after hearing his reponses I immediately tore it up. His emails are available to anyone wishing to have a read.
Sticky...do you ride an open bike ? and if so, what are your thoughts on the new track? as Mr Brock says the riders love it which is not the impression I got in the paddock.
Toby at Nora says they had very little input into it but will be using the old layout for one meeting at least.
The organisers claim a noise issue over the hill for the reason for change, although Preston road race club are running their classics over there regularly, you can still ride the full track on an allcomers test day which kinda shows theyre talking bollox.
For your info....... I was standing next to Mr Winstanley senior at the 1st meeting when he said they were going to grade the jump entry and take off as it had become severely rutted sending bikes all over the place, at that point Mr Winstanley jnr came up and said''aww dad, dont grade it, I like it like that''...so they didnt. Now they are surprised they have no entries!!!!

Hi Gix
Yes I have an open bike and I feel after riding the track twice now the track feels like its lost all its "flow" I find it very stop start now and agree its not a patch on the old track. On the subject of the jump while I dont have any specific MX experience I thought it was fine to have a jump but the scale of it seamed a bit odd, considering the entrance to the dirt and lack of any run up. When I watched the first Motard Masters I would say that most people were just riding up it with only the PRO's getting any air at all, so I didn’t really get the point

Plus that dirt really wrecks your bike :(

Lets hope NORA run the old track!!!!
cheers
