I keep hearing this distributors name pop up.
Don Knight. He seems to be mentioned in a negative
manner. He is on several Husaberg and GasGas sites.
A GasGas may be my next bike.Is there something
I need to know?Does he distribute parts in the USA?
Whose?Good or bad for that company? Please,no
flaming.I would just like some facts. If I am opening
some old wounds or something let me know.

To the very best of my knowledge Don Knight (DBA Knight-Line Products) is no longer affiliated with Gas Gas. I believe his most recent venture has contributed to the further demise of VOR.

Best Regards,
Dale

Don Knight was the USA distrib for Gas Gas. I have no first-hand knowledge of his dealings w/the brand, but from members here that owned a GasGas(Kalitude, Husurdaddy), he put the line in a bind and then moved on to Husaberg. Once the distrib for Husaberg, he cancelled all of the dealers contracts(leaving the US with no dealers), and attempted to move in all of the GasGas dealers, but Husaberg/KTM wouldn't send him any parts because he wouldn't pay for them. After putting Husaberg in the largest bind ever on this continent, he moved on to do the same to Vor, and BMG began picking up the pieces.

This is what I gather. If you talk to Dwight Rudder(usually on TT), he will have stellar things to say of him, and you can get a whole different version of the story.

thanks,

And the story continues with TM I understand. At least in the eastern part of the states. Truth is stanger than fiction indeed.

Knightline (Don Knight) is now (as of May 14) the distributor of TM on the east coast, MotoMan is dist on the west coast I believe. KL has no involvement with GasGas any longer, I agree lets not open up that wound. I don't know what the status of GasGas is in the USA since GG Spain took over distribution. The local GG dealer that was all jacked up about the new importer has only a couple of bikes on the floor indicating to me that they aren't pushing the brand as hard as they were (NOTE: this is purely speculation from a long time racer, ME). Smackover GasGas has a website dedicated to Gassers for those folks with the same basic affliction as us 'berg addicts.
Feel free to PM me if you want. I was formerly sponsored by GasGas USA, qualified for the ISDE on a Gasser, and have many friends that have owned Gassers.
