Engine Oil
I've run Delo 400 in my FE501 for some years after originally running Mobil 1 Racing T. Durability of the valve gear is definitely superior, rollers have lasted nearly twice as long so its Delo400 for the 650 after a couple of changes of Repco/Mobil 15/40 mineral, 3 changes in 3 hours to bed the rings. I've had personal experience of glazed bores when my new road bike was delivered with full synthetic without my knowledge. We've even here at work in the fleet had new Toyotas and Subarus with glazed bores and excessive oil consumption from being driven too gently when new.

300+hrs on standard roller followers on Delo 400 vs 150 and a scuffed cam with the M14T.

DELO 400 for me.

I've been trying to source Delo 400 in the U.K to no avail, it has also been suggested that Chevron diesel oil is the same but i can't get hold of that either.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for that which particular product do you recomend the hdd 5w 30, or the motorcycle oil ?

My choice is fuchs silkolene pro 4 15w 50.Its the best oil I have ever use.Smooth gear box!!!!!

i am very impressed with amsoil .

faktor ... dont forget you had engineering issues , i dont think it was a oil issue , or am i wrong ???

its just because the last 2 oil changes i tryed the mobil 1 and since that my clutch makes this strange noise when i engage the clutch...before that i used PANOLIN 10w50

mobil is not a favourite here!

try motorex, that has a good reputation.

I use Motorex Power Synt 4T 15w 50. It's 12.95 a liter but iti's recommended and some things I just don't skimp on.

I use Motul 300v in many bikes without a problem, as someone else said, it ain't cheap but you get what you pay for. My 2003, 80 hour 650 gets a change every 4-5 hours without fail and sounds sweet.
