Moab Info

We have family friends in Kanab, but that is still quite a haul to Moab . I'd have to get the family to Kanab then me and the boys go to Moab . Hmmm ,Family vacation ?

Hey! Another neat place to ride not too far from Moab (northwest) nearer Green River is place called Dubinky. Sand dunes, sandstone hills, fantastic riding....I don't remember the tight staying on trails requirements there....probably about 1 1/2 hours from Moab. I used to ride there about 18-20 years ago...it was always a blast in the winter. You can get there a farm exit off of I-70, south about 5-10 miles...

sounds like you're talking about white wash/green river. there is the same need to stay on the trails there (except for the dunes and slickrock), it's just not as strictly enforced (yet). there's nothing wrong with staying on trails, btw, unless you want all trails to be 20' wide.

you can reach all those trails from north moab. i will lead at least one brisk long (100 mile?) ride out that way and hit some pretty cool trails, like dead cow loop, maybe all the way out to crystal geyser. heck, maybe even just ride into green river and get gas so we don't have to pack extra
