hi all
my 05 fs 650 as milky oil i am thinking water is getting in but from where ?
it would be ether head gasket or water pump seal. the engine has never been apart it has done 3000km most on the race track
so what is the most likely head gasket or water pump seal ? :(
with the rad cap of and up to temp when giving it a rev foam comes up to the surface mainly on over run
it has not overheated the max temp has been 100c

any help would be helpfull Cheers matt

the waterpump seal is not very likely. Coolant would have to surpass the oil seal as well.
Thes bikes have a wet cilinder liner. Internally three big o-rings keep coolant and oil apart. That would be my guess, or the cilinder head gasket.
But starting with the waterpump is the best and easiest option

Good luck,
Adriaan

found problem milky oil

OK so have taken the side cover of no leak there . so of came the head to find lots of water in the combustion chamber, the head gasket was intact but i could seepage marks on the surfaces. this leads me to think that it may have gotten hotter than i thought which would cause the head gasket to crush more. then wen cooled the head bolts would not have been to the correct torque allowing compression to escape in to the cooling system pressurizing it and forcing water past the pump o ring and in to the oil
making it look like mushroom soup

that's my thoughts on the matter and i will welcome other opinions
cheers Matt
