Something cought my attention here..

The guy states that the lever moves when kicking.... Whats the problem with this ? Isn't that what it's ment to do ?? Offcourse there must be a little slack/play in it, but it should move right ?? Or have i completely lost it ??

Just needing info

I have rebuilt my FC550 2001 3x over the past 10 yrs, the last rebuild, coolant is enetering the oil. So possible cause is cylinder sleeve O-Rings. As I seat the cylinder into the left case, the O-rings push out of their grooves. I do not remember having this problem in the past. Possible change in O-Rings (black O-rings)??? Or I have change, possible either of the 2.

So what is being used as a lubericate for the o-ring at time of assembly of sleeve into case??

Thanks Taffy for all your support, get up the great work.

well the O ring in the left cover can be the culprit and that doesn't want to be any smaller than a crushed 2.7mm.

then that leaves the O rings really.

fit new ones and black or green I don't think it should matter?

I smear silicon on the O rings for about 15mm left and right of centre and if the O rings point up and out you need to kneed them down in and behind the left of the liner.

if you think you pinched then they are shagged. get new ones.

Hi!
Check coolant level, radiator can't be full of liquid, if You are loosing 1/2 litre/ 30 minutes it is possible that after 30minutes it it stops leaking (and it will be Your good liquid level).

Second thing if You discover problems with mounting coolant/oil seal You should replace oil 2-3 times in short period with fully warmed engine, this is because water pours inside the motor and vapor stays on engine walls.
I'm 100% sure if wrong mounted seal was only problem You have to change oil 2-3 times to "see" it clean.
When engine is warm try to open oil cap, it gave escape for vapoor.

If You are using good quality radiator liquid and when it is burned in cylinder You will feel "sweet" in Your mouth (even from 2-3 m from bike)
