Hello,

I have a Mikuni TMR41mm on my 2002 650SM.

It all began with starting problems on my bike. I began with pulling the choke out and then kicking.. :? but nothing.

It just would not start, I tried putting petrol down the spark plug hole and it started immediately after that.

I have now taken the carb off and will start by cleaning it, please can anyone with experience of the Mikuni carbs please help me.

I also think I have problems with jetting. The spark plug was black when I took it out. It also bangs badly on the over-run.

do you have a choke circuit?

the keihin on a yam needs just a #62 starter jet but on the husey it needs a #80.

classic symptoms of under jetted are that it won't start!!! if the rest of the jetting is good then definately look here.

Yes, I have a choke circuit.

I took the carb off and cleaned it with alcohol and blowed it through with an air line.

I couldn't see anything a miss with it I am worried it has been a waste of time.

Is there anyone who has knowledge of the Mikuni TMR carbs ?

Where is the choke jet ?

Is it the gold jet that mates to the bell mouth intake ?

Does anyone have a exploded view of the Mikuni TMR carb. I can only get one for the TM carbs off the Mikuni website.
