might have to sell my berg :(

hey peoples, after doing a back injury I might have to sell my berg as I don't think I will be able to ride it. I was wondering what sorta $$$$ I should be asking. It's an 03 FE400 still registered. will have all new plastics and decals, top end rebuild and about 60% on both knobblies.

any rough estimates, I see 04's going for $7500AU but I have no idea what size they are.

any ideas?

Sorry to hear about your back ferret.

I've been there & spent 3 months on & off laying on the loungeroom floor. Went to a so called specialist who just wanted to stick needles in it & kill the nerves to make the pain go away. Dont give up yet though, find a good ostiopath & see how you go first. Remember the golden rule: you should only ever sell your berg to buy a better berg !

If all that fails, put it up for $7500 & you can always bring the price down.

Hope its not the end of the line for riding days anyway. :cry:

i think $ 7500.00 is a lot for the 03 - no offence to you sir

a friend sold his 04 - 650 for $ 6000.00 and it was a nice one , the resale for bergs is poor .

only if someone really needs one , or they know you and the bike will you succeed .

My cousin and i just bought 03fe400 's in canada. they are going for about $5500 canadian dollars. maybe prices are a little lower here? I payed $5700 for my 03 and it had 0 hours. i put the first tank of gas in it. It sat in a guys garage for 3 years. still has the plastic stuck to the case halfs.

yeah I figured it would be like that. usually ya go for 1/2 it's original price and go from there.

at least I know 5500 - 6500 is the fair price for them.
