Hey, I was doing an oil change today and have found some not too good looking bits of bearing maybe. Does anyone have any idea what it is?? I have over 200hrs on her so I knew some love would be due, but up till now I virtually get nothing on the magnet.
Cheers.

Interesting.... would be awesome if that's all it is they looked like new 50 hours ago, might start with pulling the rocker cover off. Thanks.

I'd say cam bearings (the ones that hold the cam and not the ones on the rocker arms) or balancer but I'm 80% that it is the cam bearings. if you're lucky the buck stops there. try to replace with cam bearings with both seals still on them. let them run in their own juices!

Thanks for the heads up but no joy,, it all looks good. Looks like I will be pulling it down futher I'm pretty sure it wont fix itself as they are not shavings.

well I can't see that your cam bearings have seals on both faces but I trust you when you say they do?

that really only leaves the balancer bearings which I REALLY doubt and the mains as kinda 'regular' ones to fail.

keep your eyes peeled as you go in!

Yep seals on both sides. Might be balancer bearing don't think it looks like mains,,,,looks like parts of a ball bearing not a roller. Good job for the weekend, will have my eyes peeled!

I found exactly the same kind of metals in the screen finally what it was ? i think that it comes from mains :/
