Question, I found a piece of metal stuck to my drain magnet for the last 2 oil changes. About 3-400 km between each. The metal was almost exactly this >> ) << size each time.

Is this something I should be worried about or just keep an eye on?

Thanks

Post a picture and perhaps such may be identified.

Unfortunately I cant, it's been flicked into the never lands.
It was literally like this, )

Hi, looks like a peice of cam chain and that has happened before. If you agree take the rocker cover off and check the links. Oh.....and the sooner the better?!

I wouldn't be too worried about it Kes, I see pieces like that from time to time. I usually find pieces like that when I have been racing and have been a little aggressive with my shifting, and not using the clutch.

But as Dale L stated a picture would be good.

I'll take a pic next time for sure.

The bike popped out of 2nd gear twice on the weekend due to bad up-shifting by me, maybe that's where the bits came from.

I'll keep an eye out for sure.

if you are concerned about metal bits you can always lean your bike against
the wall and remove the sump plug after each ride

it saves waiting for the next oil change to find out whats going on inside .
