Max Power!

Hi!

I havent been able to find out how much power my Husaberg FE 400 puts out. So i desided to do a topic for discussion. Anyone have specific information about the max Kw's these thing put out?

My bike is a 2000 Fe 400 E, and i have it registered. But, in my registration papers it says that max kw's are 8.6kw. Sounds and feels a bit too low! :D

I would also like to know about the bit newer fe 600 and 500cc bikes?

And ofcourse, the comparison to other bike makers would be excelent! :) I have heard rumours that for example the 400cc engine made by berg is a pretty high tuned piece?

In reality the 400 was about 30 hp, which is 22.06 kw, at the rear wheel.

You'll see figures of up to 42 HP quoted but i'd be very surprised if you could get anywhere near this with a standard motor even with a slick on the rear wheel. maybe at the crank?

I rode a 2006 FE 450 a few weeks back. I let a friend ride my 2005 FE 650 while I tried his out.
I wasn't too impressed with the power delivery but maybe I'm just used to the 650 power.
It seemed tame in comparison for sure. For some it may just be fine for trail riding.

I see... I don't have previous bike to compare so i really don't know wheter it's 40hp or 30hp... But what do you think about the other bikes? I have heard rumours that the KTM 400 EXC would be a best, but isn't it allmost the same bike
How about torque? Anyone have information how much these 400cc things put out in Nm's?

Good news everybody!

Eventhoug none is reading this post and my english isn't too delightfull to read, I have some dyno-results now on my 400cc Berg!

So the results was 26Kw and about 30Nm at REARWHEEL. I know, i know, it ain't too much, but I think it's well enough for this kind of little bike. Low weight and nice torque+maxpower makes this a funny and agile beast for the city streets, and maybe for the rails as well. :)

I was wondering the same thing... Well what I've read it seems that it should be about 22Kw from the rear wheel when stock. The only modification I've done is the newer exhaust system and Remus silencer. And during the dyno my chains were loose as hell...

But no reason for complain, 26 is allways better than 22
