Wants to know what you guys with 05 or 06 650 use for gearing on them in the mountains with goat trails and steep climbs.

I don't have the 650, I have a 550, and the 14/48 has proven to be a good combination for tight single track for me. Here in the Arizona desert we have some pretty tight and twisty terrain and the ground doesn't hook up very well in many places. I have found that the 14/48 combination works well for this type of riding but I have a closed ratio FC model 550. I just though I would post since no one else has yet but im sure others will be along shortly with some more advise.

i run a docile 14-46 , i use my 650 on the road as well as anywhere else.
even with this gearing it will climb anything out there .
