I was wondering how much interest there would be in a full on enduro racer similar to the ones raced by team husaberg in the world enduro championships? Taffy was kind enough to post a link of an article written by Jondy Edmunds on Marko Tarkalla's fe505 race bike (I would forward the link, but don't know how). In summary, the bike is a std Husaberg (modified in Sweden) with a 100mm piston and a custom crank giving a displacement of 505cc. The ignition is remapped to rev 800 rpm higher, giving the bike power from idle to rev limiter. The engine has no e-start to remove weight and improve handling and a smaller/ slimmer 7.5L fuel tank is used for improved manueverability. This is a bike that really interests me. I'm not ranking on Husaberg here, I believe they make the best handling 4T made, but I would like to see them once again attempt to make the best bike made, 2T or 4T. Yamaha and Honda both have 450 4T's that are very light and handle similar to a 2T. Make a bike that takes direct aim at 250 2T's and the Japanese 450 4T's for offroad/ GNCC/ enduro use.
