For those of you interested:
Part one of "Kenny and I do AMA Superstock" is in the March issue of Road Racing World Magazine.

"The Long Season"

Neither Husaberg related nor a particularly happy story.

I only mention such as many of you asked where I had slipped off to during the Summer of 2006.

Dale, in another 10 (or 50!) years we'll both look back and laugh about it, but nonetheless, lessons were learned. When the chips are down people show their true colors. You my friend can hold your head high.

Sorry, I don't read RRW: Did you compete in AMA S/Stk? I'm an AMA grid marshal, maybe I saw you out there. Did you do any of the east coast rounds: Barber, VIR, Road Atl.?

Hi Crew-Chief,
Laguna, Mid Ohio and VIR. Super-Stock and Super-Bike.

Half the current American field are former GNC dirttrackers, consequently old friends.

August VIR proved interesting involving a 2 pound hammer and a Spanish GP mechanic.

VIR, August 2006. Dale Lineaweaver, Kenny Noyes and Roger "No English".

What did you say? Well, XXXX XXX! Fist fight? No way, you will mop up the floor with me. Ever been hit with one of these? I didn't think so. Great! Let's get back to work.

Oh, by the way "Welcome To America".

Kenny Noyes. VIR, August 2006.

Mid Ohio was a disaster. We grenaded an engine during Super-Bike qualifying. The above picture is Super-Stock @ VIR. Kenny did qualify the same bike for both Super-Stock and Super-Bike. I believe he finnished 2 back from Cory West placing him around 17th.

Every nationality clearly understands XXXX XXX! and a big hammer.

With all due respect, but sounds like your communication skills are at an all time high! :D

Indeed!

Under pressure and attempting to communicate with a non English speaking mechanic was a bit more than I could handle. Tempers flared on both ends with one thing leading to another.

It simply comes with the territory.

Hey, at least you came away with out a shiner!

Good point!
Contrary to what one may believe I really dislike getting hit. No macho fist fight stuff for me, hence my personal opinion regarding their being no such thing as a fair fight.

Road Race is lightweight in the brawling department. Maybe a harsh name and / or a shove. Speedway and Dirttrack, completely different story.

Cheers,
Dale
