Hi guys.
I wonder if some1 can help me. I have seen a 2003 husaberg 501 forsale on ebay that has a map switch. I have a 2004 501 but mine doesn't have one. Is this something I can fit to my bike? If so can any1 tell me where to get one.

2001 to 2003 had a SEM ignition with map switch. From 2004 to 2008 they had kokusan ignition with no map switch. Map switch was re-introduced with the fuel injected bikes in 2009.
 
the 2004-2008 bikes have a TPS-throttle position sensor. this is TP sensitive and gives a crude advance system on the ignition.

Taffy. What do u mean by crude? Is this good or bad?
I was told the 2004 was supposed to better, maybe that was wrong ha...
 
i think he means crude as in the change is not noticeable or needed. the 01-03 hi-lo was pretty obvious.
