Another site that I visit (www.Corpusfishing.com)had this topic and I thought that I should share it with you.
The thread and replies are cut and pasted, so if the paragraghs seem to not lined up cohesively, it is because I only cut and pasted the informative parts.

MALWARE WARNING!

There is a new script out so be careful if you see a post from a first timer that has a link.... It might be a link to a malware site.

A site that upon accessing it downloads trojan viruses, worms, spyware, keystroke spyware, or other software that is either harmful to you PC, your information's security or both.

I found out that the one posted this morning on the forum was definitely a malware site. It tries to download a "loader" which allows the bad guys to call that program and give it instructions to download any program they wish. Basically once they install the loader, your machine becomes their "zombie" in what we call a BOTNET. Botnets are a network of compromised computers that all listen to the same Control Center. For instance, the most common use is for them to install a mailer program and turn your home pc into a mail server sending out spam all day. They usually also install keyloggers to capture your passwords and credit card info.

Do not click on any links from new posters. Do not click on any links that offer medications. Do not click on any links that look suspicious.

I will try to check the board more often in case something needs to be deleted. It can get tricky as on another board that I moderate the bots started to post replys to messages instead of only initial posts making them harder to find.

ALSO, be AWARE As of mid January AVG Virus SCAN will no longer work for free. If you are using AVG virus scan, it has been an excellent free program for over a year now but like all good things, its coming to an end. And, with such widespread free use ending, there are more virus attacks coming. Not that AVG would do that to get you to buy the program but the mere fact that many will be vulnerable is enough to increase attacks. That along with the Holiday season and more people looking for bargains online should make everyone be wary of what they click.

If it looks odd do not click it.

here's the link that it gave me. hopefully it will work for everyone else too. it's the free AVG download.
