Hallo outthere!

I´m getting closer to 50 h of driving my bike?

What´s your opinion, experience, on the service maintenance?

Do you follow it as a clock, you don´t give a ****...

Do you do it yourself...

Well, what do you think of, when you hear the 50th h getting closer...

My bike is a 501fe 01

Give me your thougths.

And as usual, big thanks in advance.

If it were me I would definately change/update your roller rocker assemblies to 03 versions and perhaps replace the cam bearings.

While you have the valve cover off inspect the cam chain sprocket as yours is aluminum and subject to rapid wear. If the teeth are worn replace with the 03 "steel" cam chain sprocket.

Hello Boheme,

In my humble opinion, if you have been properly maintaining the bike, ie. very frequent air filter servicing, oil changes and valve adjustments, you could just consider replacing the cam follower needle bearings on the rocker arms and consider replacing the 200 135 01 Camchain Tensioner with the 05 model 800.36.002.100 Timing Chain Tensioner. If is much improved. I would also consider replacing the timing chain with the 05 DID Timing chain 800.36.013.100 and the DID 800.36.013.150 Rivet link.

If money is no object, I would replace the rocker arms with the 03 model, as the cam follower bearing on them is longer lasting than the 01 version.

Some 01/02 Husaberg owners have had dynamic balancer bearing failures. So expect to hear from others on that subject. I never trusted that design feature and actually had it removed from my 04 before I rode it!.

Regards,

Joe
