ok i cant get a slipper clutch for an 02 so is it poss to fit a later main shaft ?? and are there any pitfulls to this ?? also are there any better gear ratio ? and will mx fly wheel and elec fit ? i need it to rev up faster ?? all for 650 sm thanks

mainshaft is a straight swop
no pitfalls
you can only change one geqar ratio unless you find a very old pre-1999 box. you can fit a lower and closer pair of sixth gears from the FC470 (2001-2003). read the doc fella please?
MX flywheel will fit - MX stator will fit - I have two sparks repaired ones ready. the MX stator then needs a small ring between the stator and the cover to position it correctly so the magnets actually work and electricity is generated

so why won't a slipper clutch fit in the early models taffy?

no Idea mate? I now fit 03 hubs onto the earlier bikes with some mods and they work great! so fitting a slipper to that later hub is the next logical progression.

It does, it have a suter on my '02 engine..

does your clutch basket have a circlip fitting or nut ???? coz my 02 has a circlip and ive spent a week ringing stm and suter and both have told me they only made husaberg slipper clutchs for 04 onwards ?? and that year has a nut on the end of the mainshaft ! now if anyone can tell me different before i strip my eng il be grateful !!!! and if anyones got one they want to sell ???

Circlip fitting.
My slipper is made for a 04+, but it will fit a '02 nicely with a 03+ (tube) clutch hub.

This will fit the 'circlip' shaft, if I remeber correctly you have too use an extra washer under the clutch basket, and a little shim on the clutch 'push rod'

is that the part numbers for a suter slipper ?? and that will fit a 02 just by fitting a shim and a washer ?? you dont have change the clutch outer hub for an 03 ? so the only difference is circip or nut

Yes, this suter comes with a nut to fit on the main shaft, but a circlip and extra washer works fine mate.
Had it running for like 10 to 15 hours last season.

You will have to fit the 'pin' steel plates from a 03+ clutch.
