'steve' in his gallery has a nice photo of lowered and moved back pegs on the pre '01 bikes. has anyone done something similar on the later pegs as they're a different design?

Hi Taff,

I found this link to the KTM/HB pegs that I got delivered with my new 650.

They are a bit expensive in Oz, but it was packaged into the bike.

In addition to the available standard adjustment I slotted the hole in the peg to slide it back further than standard and ground the boss off the bottom of the pivot to further lower and rearset the peg. Replaced with a washer on the top.

I found that when pulling the pegs on and off that bit bit of stainless lockwire securing the spring simplified the process. Tie it off with the peg pushed up and itll hold the spring compressed.

I'm now fairly happy with the end result, but there should be an easier/cheaper way to achieve a similar result. Try grinding the boss off a standard peg for starters. There must ultimately be a durability loss with this mod, but I'll deal with it on the day.

Did you get my email response to your pm regarding this stuff?

Steve
