Lower rad. hose vulnerability

Are you guys using a guard for the lower hose on left side? It sure sticks out on mine. Not knowing if anyone makes a guard other than skidplate with extension, I made one for mine. Made me nervous about getting it poked with brush or something. Of course, I never fall down, (ha!).

makes a big difference if you can get stuff sent as a "small package".

at moab the 'easy' cure was to take a small peice of rubber hose and fit it around the original water hose zip tying it on. it's cheap and it's effective!

i've had a hose protector and i sent it out to fryguy as a 'thank you' for my ride at Moab. $12 sounds about right.

Sorry Guys... tried to do a link straight to the left side picture.
Doesn't seem to work.
Just follow the link in the error screen or try this one

hey guys I had the first Hyde skid plate ever made so I've had it on the longest they are awesome and "slide" over rocks tree stumps etc , I had an alu one but that one bites when you hit a rock. I had a bad expeirnce in Lesotho last year where the exposed rad hose was punctured by a rock in the middel of the mountains in Lesotho ( small mountaious land locked country famous for the "Roof of Africa " race) I managed to take of the hose and cut of the piece that was punctured and re fit it by streaching it a bit and that got me home.

That hyde skid plate looks incredable. I'd be a little nervouse about
ordering from africa to the usa. I think getting a braided stainless hose
from a hotrod shop might be kinda cool too.

Or any country I can't even begin to try to pronounce

I sent them an email and they replied with the Australian agent. I contacted him and he referred me to the local agent in Western Australia.
I'm sure they have a heap of agents in the USA.
You guys have everything over there.
Lucky buggers....
