Low fuel

Hi
I have a 2009 model fe 450.
is it true that there is nothing to show when there is low gasoline. Thought I've read a place where it said something about it being able to show when there's low gasoline.
just dismounted the tank and didn't think I can see any plug or wire that should tell me it has low gasoline

That feature came 2010. I think there was a kit that you could retrofit?

There is a kit I have one installed in my 2009 390

On my 2010 FE450 the fuel level sensor is mounted in the tank directly in front of the battery box. My wires actually chaffed through so I had to replace the unit. $45usd for KTM part # 58207080100. There is an amber fuel light mounted in the speedometer bracket that illuminates once you have less than 10 miles of fuel remaining...
