2011 FE390. Took the bike for a short ride today, about 30 miles on forestry roads. Nothing taxing on the bike. When I left the house it sounded a bit louder than normal and seemed to get worse throughout the ride. At first I thought it was just excessive extra noise from whatever the air filter sound is on these bikes. Bike ran just fine, just sounded different. The last ride was about 30 miles mostly single track so definitely harder on the bike. Haven’t changed the oil yet as I’m waiting on supplies, can’t say I noticed anything during that ride. There’s another noise when in gear at and just starting to open the throttle. I want to say it sounds like a loose bearing rotating but hard to describe..

I want to think the cam chain tensioner needs to be tightened but not sure. I upgraded the tensioner a few years ago. Checked the valves start of this season and everything was within spec.
