Looking to buy 07 FE650

Buy the '08

Mine has done 6,000 km, no problems at all, not a single issue with the bike. Of the 6,000km about 2,500km have been racing, they are tough !!

Great bike !!

cant recommend it enough, though it depends on the type of riding you do.

Only problem you may hit is Husaberg Australia is all out of '07 650 stocks, sold out !!

But the '08 model is arriving in the next couple of weeks.

You should get the '08, same price as the '07, its only $10,500 + ORC...........cheap as and better than anything else. I am about to trade up to the '08 next month.

Whatever you do just run it on Motul 300V Factoryline double ester oil, I use the 15w/50 grade. Using a double ester oil is VERY important to maximise engine life etc.

RE: Buy the

Gazza,
Cheers for the info mate! How often do you change oil and check the valve clearances on your 650?? At the moment i have a 07 Yamaha WR450 and i've done close to 5000k's on it, with no probs, i change the oil (Motul 7100) every 350-500k's and check the valves every 1000-1500, the valves are starting to close up so i'll have to shim them soon. Mate i'm after a bike with some big stick for the open stuff!!! its either a FE650 or KTM525 :yikes:
Does the 650 power stand easily?? I like big wheelies!!!!
I know a motorcycle shop in canberra still has a 07 FE650 for 10500, whats the diffo with the 08's if you know of any??
Cheers mate, Camo....

do the same for the 650 and it should be fine, but use the 300V double ester oil instead of the 7100

I have had 3 520/525's the 650 beats them on all aspects, power, weight, handling and surprisingly even fuel consumption, wouldnt go back to a 525 for open stuff after having had the 650, its like a 525 on steroids !!!!

Go for the '08 its the same cost, updated crank, gearbox, updated water pump seal, different steering head stem, wave brake rotors, black rims, will also give you better resell later
