Looking for 2003 FE501L Ignition complete or alternator

Hi, I am looking for replacement parts for motorcycle HUSABERG FE501L (year of release 2003). The parts catalog number is 250 285-01 Ignition complete 02- (flywheel, stator and cable rubber). The parts could be secondhand, but in working order. Please contact me if you have to offer this, mostly I need the alternator. Thanx!

I've changed the CDI and stator (look for changed components in the attachment file, please), but there are still a weak spark. Mechanically the engine will start only after the pumping 30-40 times, but using the starter there is no spark and the engine will not start.

Does anyone have any ideas what should I do to improve the fault? Maybe I have changed the part of the non-standard?

you need to retard the electrex stator to the very end. the maximum.

Retarding the ignition for Electrex Stator unfortunately did not help, the spark is still too weak.

The verification revealed that the flywheel magnets are worn and there are cracks in magnets. Magnets may also be weakened a result of overheating and this might be the source of the main problem.

I read this forum, that flywheel with the magnets can not be repaired, but may have to be exchangeable with KTM LC4 Part #: 58031002050 (580.31.002.050) STATOR LOOSE 13, without changing anything. Could it be true?

All experience and advice in this regard are welcome, thanks!

KTM LC4 magnets will be placed in the wrong position relative to TDC for the Husaberg because their flywheels are on the left and therefore rotate the other way. of course you could break all the potting out and reposition them to replicate the Husaberg?

Flywheel and stator from KTM LC4 motor. This is the same ignition unit used on '03 and earlier Husaberg motorcycles with exception of lighting coil wattage output. (Sandskipper)

KTM and other stator correlation

Carbonone ordered the KTM part number 580.31.002.050 from his local dealer for $160 and it fitted straight in with no modification. This is the part # for a KTM LC4 and will work on all '98 and prior bikes. Make sure the black to green measures 23 Ohms as some of the last models measured 165 Ohms. Anything from '99 to '03 will have to be from Husaberg, the SEM stator for these years was a one off and wasn't fitted to anything else.

Relocation and re-gluing the magnets seems to too great work for me. Well as I don't believe that it is successful and the device will work.

well it says it works for the 1998 and prior models. prior means before.

the reason it says that is because the stator was on the crankcases and the flywheel was OVER the stator. you would see the back of the stator and the taper on the flywheel hole was the other way around so it would fit.

it therefore worked!

Thank you Taffy, I start to understand, little by little.

As well I'm starting to understand the fact that I have no particular prospects for eliminating the problem if I can't find the original part of the flywheel.
