Basically the bike was stuck in gear after having my sump plugged re tapped.
Changed the oil and put about 10hrs on it and the gearbox was a pig.
Changed the oil again yesterday and look what came out

ingore all the dead leaves, but all those silver specs are aluminuim or something non magnetic. The particles you can see are about 1/4 of what actually came out.

Going to have it looked at asap.

why would you be surprised to see aluminum shavings in the oil after creating aluminum shavings by tapping your drain "plugged"?

cam chain at the end of its natural life eating away at the cylinder wall?

Ned, you saying i should ignore this? i flushed the oil three times and ill bet i still didnt get it all out. there was a huge amount of the stuff.
Bikes done 60hrs

it's prolly a combo of what taffy and i both said. never ignore, just don't get overexcited. regular maintenance (like keeping an eye on cam chain wear), along with listening to your engine will allow you to chase down problems like this.
