Hi
I wanted some loctite for the Primary drive nut but could only get 271 threadlock and not 2701 wil this be suficient to hold the nut?

After checking out the loctite web site, it would appear that you want the 270 as it seals against "industrial fluids". 2701 is the replacement for 270.

271 is a permanent sealer like 270/2701 but does not say anything about being resistant to "industrial fluids".

so the oil could brake down the loctite and then the nut could come loose, bugger.

I'll get some 2701 I think, have to shop around though as our local Halfords dont stock it:(

I can get some nutlock for you. is it the light green or blue loctite. the loctite is supplied to us with "special" industrial packaging so can not tell you what number 271/274 etc it is. If I can get the one you want, it will only cost you the postage charge!
