I read an old post on UHE some time back; can't remember from who but the author described a condition whereby his bike would chug and load up in seconds when starting on the choke. This may have been an older berg like mine. This can really be a problem if you stall the bike and have to use the choke to get it to fire back up! Instead of buying a bunch of new jets{time and money), just take a strand or two of wire from a 14 gauge wire and slip it into the jet( with the jet out of the carb) cut it just slightly longer than the jet hole, then crimp over the ends so it can't fall out. It will slightly reduce the size of the jet, and it will keep the jet clean as well! A little experimentation will yield the proper size of wire to use. I learned this trick many years ago from an old Englishman(go figure). They used this method on main jets. This old guy rode a 650 BSA that leaked so much oil that he carried a jug of it with him, and he never had to oil his chain! PS. Use copper strands as and ferrous alloy can wear on the jet bore.
