I can't remember the last time i asked a question instead of answering one!

But anyway, what is the spring rate required on the rear of an old Husaberg with the linkage system? SAG settings? Some of your own experiences?

cheers

Hi Taffe

Not much success with that myself. I usually can stick with standard spring weights on bikes but....

My 1993 bottomed easily on standard springs and based on the US magazines I got a stiffer spring and used little preload......I can check the manual and spring ...that I still have if need be but 3.8 and 4.2 respectively come to mind? On the 1996 bike did the same thing.

The handling was better but the suspension was not.....but I did not revalve the rear only the front.....never got it right!

1999 pds was better but for pds not to kick 40mm static sag and 110mm sag. I know many went 85mm sag to stop bottoming and help corner but that is not what I did.

thanks!

3.8 and 4.2 do seem soft? i get what you mean about the rear lacking grip and drive....

Hi Taffe

My memory may be faulty. 1993 manual says 5.1
For fe and 5.3 for FC.

Parts manual shows 5.5,5.7,5.9,6.1,6.3,6.5 as options.

The stock was too soft.....harder made a pogo stick.
