Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding these batteries? I can't think of a better way to reduce top heavy weight.A titanium muffler with a nice battery I figure I can save 5-8 lbs.Maybe? I was looking at the CV4 and the P1racing.Any others I should consider?

+1 on TurnTech. In the first 643mi./28.2 hours I went thru four batteries on my 570. That has got to be a record. Then I put a TT in. Stock was 4.61lbs vs. 1.81lb. I now have almost 100 hours/2200+ on it. After my last ride I fixed what killed the first four batteries. The starter torque limiter was set too low. But the Turntech never failed :D :D .

The guys on DBW are raving about antigravity batteries.

I think the link is [EDIT]this is not the link you are looking for.[/EDIT]

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. The Anti-gravity link is not correct though I do recall it from somewhere.Looks like the Turntech maybe the ticket. That 2.5 looks awfully tempting for my 390. The weight is right, just concerned about cranking amps.Anyone use this in their bike?

I installed the 5 amp in my fe450, the 2.5 amp in my wife's wr250f. The 2.5 amp works great in her bike, but I'd use the 5 in anything larger.
Their batteries are an odd shape (thinner & shorter, but longer) had to bend the battery box a tad. To take up the empty space and keep the battery from rattling, I used lengths of 1/2" flexable pvc conduit.

Use the 5 Ah TurnTech battery in your bike, especially since the Bergs are E-start only.

Oopps. Should have mentioned I bought the 5 amp. It is a tight fit in the stock battery box but works well. About 3/4 inch shorter so the fuses and such don't rub on my seat anymore. Plus, being lower it allows more air for the filter to draw from. Gives me another 47 hp. Really, you read it on the internet it has to be true  .

I read on the Internet that it subtracts horsepower and turns it into torque...

BBB.
That all depends on what color powerband your using- red for roosting, blue for mellow, brown for trail riding.......
