leaking fuel when starting FE450 09

I have a Fe450 from 2009. It's leaking when the engine is started the first time. It leaks for about a minute, than it stops. After it stops leaking there's no problem. I can ride the bike without any problems.

It does that every time when i take the bike out for a ride.
It's leaking at the point where the fuel line is inserted in the injector body.
There's an orange KTM o-ring in place. I've allready replaced this o-ring.

It's a real pain to get that o-ring mounted without damaging it.
Now i've used a general type of o-ring with about the same dimensions.
It doesn't leak for a few starts/rides, but after some thime the leaking comes back.

Do i have to replace the fuel line totaly ?

I use some wd40 on the orange o-ring so it goes in smooth. If not that o-ring can get damaged, I have seen small tears after I pushed it in dry.

So buy another orange o-ring. Lube it up with some wd40 or similar and be careful.

Hi Jon.

Luckily I'm not the only with that problem.
I thougt as much it could only be an O-ring that hasn't fitted properly.

I used a litte silicon spray on the O-ring, but even than, it's quite difficult to get it in. I will get a new one and try to be a bit more careful :D
