My 99’ FE 600 has a leaking fuel tap. The fuel leaks out from the lever and drips down on the top exhaust pipe. It leaks both when the valve is open or closed, bike running or stopped. I looked through the parts manual to see if there is some kind of gasket inside the fuel tap, but the parts manual only address the fuel tap as one complete unit. Has anyone opened one of these fuel taps? Or had this kind of fuel leak before? I have earlier had a fuel leak from around the o-ring between the fuel tap and the fuel tank. That took some effort to fix and I hope I don’t have remove the fuel tap from the fuel tank again. All good suggestions are welcome.
