Leakdown test results on my 09 570

I finally bought a leakdown tester and had to try it out. Had to pull the valve cover to get things lined up to lock it at TDC and make sure the ADC wasnt engaged. Bike has over 305 hours on it, all off road. I'm pleased with the results and see no reason it wont make 400 or 500 hours before it needs a top end.

2% or so at both 90 and 100 psi

Great news to know these bikes hold up great as the hours start to get racked up .

Original fuel pump ?
Cam chain tensioner changed ?
How often do you change the spark plug ?
Any other items updated besides normal wear and tear

Yes original fuel pump. The black made in china one that is supposed to fail, changed the fuel filter for the first time around 280 hours. Has had a Dirt Tricks tensioner since near new. Original spark plug was changed at 200 hours but didnt need it. I have changed the water pump seals, countershaft seal, clutch and stator cover gaskets.

Oil gets changed every 10 hours or so, sometimes 15, never used anything but Rotella. Oil filter every 4 changes. Air filter I do as needed, keep a spare ready to go with Bel Ray or Maxima filter oil. Never Notoil.

I try to be pro active with maintenance and take care of things before it becomes a problem, not just the engine but chassis also. Forks, shock, bearings, etc. all get serviced regularly as well.

Its been a great bike!

Hello Dave1867
I've been trying to make an adapter to fit my compression gauge to my '10 fe450. The one I have is too big to fit in the head. Did you use a Matco one or?
Thanks

My 570 is on 705 hours, 45 000 odd ks. Had a pro x piston in it for around 90. -100 hours, it burnt oil so I put the old one back in with new rings. Done quite a few hours since then and it's running great.
