LDCs wide at the front?

those that know me and will know I ride my bike without event he rad shrouds so i guess I was a bit spoilt with the old 400 but I'm starting to get used to the 570 now and for racing I find the tank quite wide and yet again it is hard to sit forward on the bike? the standard seat is fine except I'm sat 3" too far back. move forwards and you have to pull yourself there first of all and secondly the old legs are forced open.

the mags say the bike is great but to me they could have been narrower?

If it's anything like my old 400 which had the same problem, the moment you fit a taller seat then you will sit further forwards and of course the tank is narrower at the top! problem solved.

I don't ride too many other makes so i'd just like some comments?

What you are saying is true Taff. From what I get, is that these LDC's don't like to be ridden with your weight forward. I seem to get into more trouble when I try to ride up over the tank and front wheel. They seem to respond well to a more neutral body position. If you watch the factory guys ride, this seems to be what they prefer as well.

Ken

that's what the factory said years ago - like 2003 or so - apparently the PDS likes it that way. I have many changes to make yet before I say that it's letting me down. already I have far more front end grip with the 48s in.
