Howdy all, I'm looking at a FE600, have looked through the "Docs" section, but am not finding a good FAQs area for these bikes of the late 90s; 96-99. Any direction would be apprectiated. TIA...

What specific questions do you have?
I can only say that at this point they are project bikes. Something challenging to tinker with. Being your #1 bike is probably not in the equasion. A little used dualsport bike....perhaps.
I would love to find a 2000 FE600 for what limited dualsporting I do.

Well, some basic questions like; is there a model year break point to purchase beyond? IE, should I skip the '9X models because the '9x was the improved cooling/suspension/engine configurations...Was there a particularly bad year which should be avoided at all costs? Is there certain maintenance which SHOULD be in shop receipts/ records, for certain mileage machienery?

Being that these bikes are relatively rare I have little perspective on what a decent price is, as well...

Got some real passion here, this is a great Forum, Thanks to the organizers of it all!!

98-00 would not be to bad. The 2000 was the last year of the old motor and first year for the new frame. Some consider the 2000 the best of both worlds.

OK, thanks Berger, I'll just keep searching through the FE600 results for some great juicy on these units.

Hope Springs eternal out of the mudholes in the woods. Go ridin today!
