Hi all,

According to cycle news web site, the last man standing coverage is on NBC today @ 5:00 eastern, and 2:00 pacific.

Igot an email from Christini saying it would be on NBC today 3pm eastern. It does not show up in my program guide. I guess I am going to have to Tivo NBC today just in case.

NBC had a copuple of short clips of last man standing among snow boarding, skiing and other action sports.

The course was very difficult and only 3 out of 100 riders went on to lap no 2 where there was 2 finishers. At one point they had to get up a 6-8 foot vertical wall.

I hope someone is showing more from this race as it need proper coverage to give it justice.

I was a little disappointed in the coverage, but in retrospect, the 1 hr coverage last year on SPEED did not have near the same amount of cool riding scenes, they did illustrate the talent and skill of the top riders. Speed should have coverage in a month or so. A couple good friends got good coverage today, Marty had a couple interviews and Corey(111) had a few camera action shots.

Brutal event, it takes a certain kind of guy to want to ride, little lone race that type of terrain.

Can't believe I missed it!

Hey Fry....could you hear nsman and I cheering like lunatics for the Canucks

I'm not surprised by the coverage......... It's typical net work TV coverage. I wished the whole show was about the race, instead of a 10 minute highlight show. But, it's coverage none the less.

Even the CBS coverage of the San Francisco SX wasn't the greatest. They're just trying to cram too much stuff into a one hour show, heck, you don't even get to see both heat races, or the semi. Just one full heat race, a 1 minute highlight of the second heat, and even less of the LCQ, and this is with the shortened format of just the two heats and the LCQ. I had to crack up when Ralph Shaheen (sp?) mistook Chad Reed pulling his roll off string, for some kind of last lap victory salute. But, the real news is the 30 second board girl, I don't know how she does it, week in and week out, got to be the hardest working person in SX. I think they should do one of those profiles on her to check out her training regimen to see how she does it.......
