Larger battery in my FE650. Thinking outloud.

A while back PowerCell turned me on to BrailleAuto batteries. I have one in my 950 SE and like it allot.

Now I am thinking of installing one in my 650. The problem is that their smallest battery is larger than my current battery box. I recently bought a larger battery box but it is not large enough. After checking out a mounting position. I would like to mount the battery in the space behind the shock. But the fit is a little funky.
Any ideas regarding larger battery, mounting location. And more.

My goal is to get a larger battery and a larger starter. My buddies are tired of waiting on my high elevation, hot starting issues.

We move the battery box on all our bikes to under the seat, together with the starter reley and CDI.

Easy to charge and it looks cleaner behind the engine.
In your case there is room for a big battery if needed.

Yes that looks clean. Are you using a standard size battery? I am looking to over size mine.
The battery that I am looking at is 3.5 inches wide. That is a bit of an issue for the berg.

I talked to bergdaddy. He said that he handn't built a rack for a long time. And that he had just sold his last rack a day before I called him.

We use std size battery, good enough for starting a 670cc engine, but the valves and auto decomp have to be right adjusted, same with the carb.
We run with a FCR41mm borred to 43,5mm, 178 main jet and 45 low, std needle.
It starts all the time.

all kidding aside, using the standard size battery and the yamaha fzr600/ r6 starter, and a renewed autodecomp, my 650 starts hot or cold.

Is putting a R6 starter difficult in a 650? I have a 2006 model and it has been hard starting so having a beefier starter wouldn't be a bad idea I think?
