Kush Sprocket

I received and installed my 47t Kush sprocket. Looking at it initially I was concerned about the inner hub and the outer tooth ring integrity, but after closer examination I see how it's made and it should be no problem. It will supposedly take about 650 ft/lbs of torque so it should be fine. You can see from the pictures that there are V shapes that are part of the tooth ring extending into the hub. These are surrounded by polyurethane to act as the shock buffer. If you look closely you can see the hole where the ball bearings are loaded between the two parts, secured with machine screws that are perpendicular to the sprocket and then filled with polyurethane. Clever design. Only rode on the street for a bit but could tell the difference. Also going from 13/52 to 13/47 is of course different too. We'll see, may go to a 12 primary sprocket. Heavier than the stocker for sure..

I'm really interested to see how this holds up, especially if you are on a 570. I've been thinking about getting one as well. Then again my 525 seemed to hold up to street use just fine without any cush hub or sprocket, so maybe they aren't necessary if you are not riding supermoto.

They did have problems with the initial design. We'll see how this one holds up. Bike is a FE450.

How is this sprocket going?

I have one 3 hrs and some of the rubbers are loose, will try to put a chromoly plate ring or something either side to hold them still

Nice photos. Interesting concept. I would like to know the actual weight of the 47 T Kush sprocket. I always ran a cush hub on my '04 KTM 540 EXC. Since the newer KTM's and Berg's do have damped clutch baskets, the necessity for a damped sprocket or a cush hub may be somewhat redundant. I am however considering a 47 T Kush sprocket for my '09 Beta 570 RS which uses the older KTM RFS engine with an undamped clutch basket. I am concerned, as you all are, about how the Kush hub will hold up for long term use.
