The target for the new engine was the centralisati n of the masses and the maximal power output. Therefore the crankshaft was positioned higher and hence nearer the overall centre of gravity of the bike, that benefits not only the handling. This design also permits a flatter and a more flow-optimised angle of the intake reed block and therefore together with the powervalve a higher performance.
