wasn't happy with the front end today. it would wash out early in the race for laps 1 & 2. i then dropped the forks through another 5mm and i lowered the tyre pressure to 12 pounds.

this made a big difference. i now have 15mm of fork showing over the top yoke.

i've also lost a little steering lock. i found it hard to get round some corners as i wason full lock. never mind, i can get more 'travel' by fair means or foul!

i guess if nothing else, the wheelbase is getting shorter!

anybody know a MX/dirt related site on chassis geometry etc? emig racing do a little on it but don't tell you in black and white what is happening to the machine.

this is the :?: that you put in ebay when looking for the following

triple clamps
triple trees
yokes
yolkes

http://search.ebay.com/ktm-triple-clamp ... ageZsearch

suggest that 14 like mine, 16 or 17 are worth trying. to remind you; you have to post the question to these people asking them to "give you the last two numbers on the end of the long part number printed on the clamps VERY visibly". they don't know what they're selling which is to your advantage.

it's vital that you try and get the bearings thrown in with the deal as they will save you considerable money and get you going whilst you order new ones. most of the time though these are sold for reasons unrelated to wear and condition and the bearings that i had sent to me were like new.

remember you'll need a washer and to get more steering lock. things may need adjusting and in my case i pulled the lock nuts off from behind the steering lock bolts. shortened the bolts and then locktited them in.

hope this helps.

Taffy
