KTM sprocket wider than Berg sprocket

Just picked up a 2010 FE570 that had a 13 tooth front (50 rear). I happened to have a few front sprockets from my 2009 450XCF lying around and went to fit a 14 tooth. I discovered the KTM version is a few mm's wider than the one that was on the Berg. Is this a normal occurence? It fits on just fine but sticks out about 1 mm over the end of the countershaft. I just wondered if there would be issues with the bolt and washer?

Or is this a normal thing for KTM sprockets to be slightly wider? I don't want to fit this and get out on the trail with a leaking countershaft seat. Been there and done that, ruined a southern Utah trip with my KTM.

Are you sure the 13T that came w/ your Berg is a Husaberg part? I have heard of issues w/ aftermarket ones being not quite the same. I have always understood that the factory Berg sprockets on the 70* bikes are in fact KTM parts.

I just measured 2 front sprockets I have - one new in Berg/Husky/KTM packaging and one used that came in KTM packaging. Both measure 0.347 inches (+_0.001") thick.

If you have one that is a different thickness, I don't think it's a Berg/Husky/KTM part.

Looks like the sprocket that was on the bike when I purchased (13T) was a Moose brand. It measured .344 inches wide. The 14T I tried to put on that was too wide was a PBI sprocket. It measured .445 inches wide. The more I think the more I wonder if the PBI was off another non KTM bike, as I've had several throughout the years, just not recently.

Oh well, no worries I'll order a Husaberg specific sprocket.
