Does anyone know if the new KTM diamond shaped headlight fits a Husaberg FE 550 2004? Searched the forum and the owner docs, but couldn't find a satisfying answer or overlooked it. Has anyone done this (Pictures), and is this a straight fit?
yes if you use the new 09 light, you must use the 08/09 fender, the one with the groove in it. if you go to the first flat light, then it will fit the current berg fender...or you can order the Euro front light assy, and look uber cool 
can you get the 08/09 ktm fender in blue or yellow? i just replaced my headlight with a black 06 ktm set up because of this unfortunate incident:

I good idea, since it is mine :wink: , is to install the new 'Berg 09 light like I did on my 06 FS. It uses exactly the same diamond shape light as the older EXC but with different plastic around it.
still looks a little chilly up there JockeD! bike looks good with that headlight, is that an 09 front fender or did you just drill a hole in the 06 for the headlight plastic mount?

The front fender is the same as they have always been. There actually is a flat surface on the inside of the fender to make the drilling easier. The entire build cost me just over 1000SEK (some $140US).
The one thing I hate about this light set up is that the bulbs cost something like a factor 10 more than the normal H4 bulbs.
Thanks for the info guys, this was really helpfull. Only got some mixed info on the 09 headlight which i preffered. Looking at pictures from the 09 bike the front fender looks the same as mine. So i Called the shop saturday, and they first told me it didn't fit and i needed a new front fender. Only they couldn't explain me why it didn't fit, and later on the told me it might fit, but they could only deliver the new parts in blue. Found the situation a bit weird, but ordered a black 2006 KTM as i really needed this part urgently.
Anyone got or know best place to get a headlight lens for a 501FE. Smashed it on the MX track yesterday. It's the rectangular one with the extra small socket for a parking light or whatever - main bulb carriage is the twist & lock type. - Looks same as rich43's above. Cheers.
