hello
i have been offered a pair of works wp mx forks for a ktm 125 will they fit an 04/05 fc450/550??

if they're 48mm forks they should fit! the spindle fitment wilol be the same. the brake i would think is the same. as long as you have the will to overcome any problem; it's not an issue is it?

regards

Taffy

If they are the SXS factory forks you are talking about, be aware the 125 2 stroke, 250 2 stroke and 450/525 4 strokes all have different part nos: 3 Different offerings.

I would say they are all sprung and valved for the different weight bikes.

My guess is the 125 fork would require a bit (lot?) of internal tuning to perform adequately in the heavier 4 stroke.

But if the price is right, Go for it !!!

he surely knows about a 125mx re-valve for a big 4T. will it actually fit was the question...

IMHO you could ask in better quarters than here...

how about this; do std 125mx forks fit your bike? now-do factory forks fit straight in a 125mx?

If they are indead the full works models, and not just the uprated KTM Hard Parts forks. Verify that they use the same size clamps as your 48mm WP, that the axle is a 26mm, and that it has a standard brake caliper mount. Some of the later true Works WP forks are larger 50 or 52mm, and have radial mount brake calipers.

hello
thanks for your replies the proplem is i dont have an offroad husaberg yet i intend on getting an 06 or a reduced 05 i know about getting it revalved but to save money can i use standard springs out of the berg when i get it??
Thanks alot for your help

Weither they're the magnesium 52's or the SXS 48's, the springs will fit. The 52' would require new triples, but it's very unlikely that's what you've got...

If they're 2003 or older, you'ld be better off re-valving your stock forks.

Hi rosey KTM forks will fit just fine KTM forks are 5mm longer than HUSABERG forks the cartridge rod and rebound rod are main diffrence
there is also some subtle diffrences midvalve springs, bushings etc.
An 01-02 Husaberg may have little slow steering w/KTM forks 03-05 may feel like an 01-02 in steering response hopefully that answers your question
