I've ridden one, what do you want to know about it?

The 450 is quicker, the 560 is faster.

On the bergs, I prefer the 550 over the 650.

There are lots of things to like about all of these bikes. It's the subtle things that make the difference.

I've ridden the 450, 525 & 560 KTM's pretty extensively, all good machines, that said I BOUGHT an FS650c, and if you're on a track where it can strech it's legs, will eat the others for lunch. On tighter circuits a smaller bike is generally the quicker way around as all the extra HP just ties you up in knots. The cool thing with 'Bergs is EVERY bike is a "factory replica"! :D

PS It's also nice having that "magic button" on the bars the KTM's don't have....(kick starting a 650 in the heat of battle on the 3rd race of the day while the field dissapears is not my idea of fun....)

KTM offers electric start kits, if you want the additional weight.

I agree that the 550 or 560 is a better overall open mount, you don't suffer the gyro effects of the 650's long stroke motor and get additional cc's over the 501 or 520/525.

From the KTM web site.

Typo, it has a 100mm bore. It is just a 525 motor with a larger cylinder casting/water jackets, and cases bored to match/fit the larger sleeve.
