Are there tyres available that have decent offroad grip for the 3.5*17 front and 4.25*17 rear rim?
I would like to do some offroading sometimes but do'nt want to buy ANOTHER (already have 2) wheelset...
Intermediate/rain tyres are ok for offroad but I want something more knobby

There are quite a few availible for a 17" rear (150's)'

The front, you could use an oversized rear like a 120/90-17

Or continental is making TKC80's in the correct size now (120/70-17) I've already considered them and how to modify them. I'd take a knobby knife and cut the knobs down smaller as they are quite large.

I don't know, they (120's) might clear the fork guards. Could just trim the guards down a little if they do.

I was talking about trimming the knobs smaller up front to get better traction.

Hi! New here, first post.

Just a thought: It looks like the Suzuki DR-Z400SM has similar sized wheels as the FS570. There are quite a few DR-Z SMs with offroad tires; check advrider.com for info. Shinko 244s are interesting - cheap and do everything, it seems.

The same might apply to the Yamaha WR250X - that the wheel sizes are similar as your Husaberg. Not sure. There are quite a few forum posts about WR250Xes with dirt tires on the stock supermoto wheels.

Thx did some research about 244 tyres and very interested in buying but the husaberg has tubeless rims and the specs say "tube type" so maybe you have to use them with a tube and that's a PITA to install :cuss:

ah! AFAIK one of the few explicitly tubeless knobby-type tires are Continental TKC-80.

Actually, I think I've seen some ppl use the Tubliss system with tires that aren't specifically designed to be ran tubeless - and it worked. There should be some Googleable info related to that.

edit: as I understand it, Tubliss-ed wheels and "real" tubeless should behave the same w.r.t. tire choice

fs wheels are real tubelless do'nt understand " w.r.t. tire choice "
I can install a tube in my tubeless wheels but there's a rubber strip in there and if you damage it with tyre lever you lose air...
I can mount tyres without tyres levers just using 4x BIG zipties around the tyres and soap  but this will be harder maybe impossible to do when you got to put tubes in it

interesting how those fs wheels are set up

and haha, sorry for being unclear - posting from phone in a hurry
what I mean is that if tube-type offroad tires work in a Tubliss setup, they are going to work for sure with a real tubeless whee. I think there were some threads about that on advrider.com

(i'm still just posting stuff i think i remember reading, hope i'm not feeding you nonsense)

thx I will call my dealer tomorrow to order these tyres I haven't found them in belgium so I'm curious how easy it will be to get them :D

I ordered other (mittas) tyres very offroad oriënted tyre.
Gonna test them in 2 weeks or so

Will do I expect the tyres to be here next week (they are in stock where I ordered them) but I transfered money by bank so it will take a few days for the money to get on their acount I hope I get them friday but I think that would be wishfull thinking

1st test done had a great time the front wheel/tyre is not the best solution but decent grip in the mud the terrain I done today was impossible tot do wit sumo/rain tyres next time I'm taking a gopro :)
