Taff,

I have knocked the splint pin and fitted a new o-ring on a few occasions to the kicker to keep it from floppin around. I have had the problem of it getting loose and not staying put so I can kick it while purched on un-even ground... It makes things frustrating while trying to get into a good kicking position just to have the kicker flop back into its recessed frame position. I have tried two o-rings with grease, and one o-ring (non-greased) and I cant get it to work more than a few rides before the rings go to hell on me. I am interested if you come up with a good solution for this so I can mod also. That bugger just bugs the heck out of me at times. I don't care that it doesn't snap back into its position after getting the bike started as it's just habit for me to give it a little persuasion/direction once the bike is started. I don't have a problem of it moving once I get the bike started either. I ordered nine different parts from Dan over at Motoxotica just the other day and one of them was the little plastic grommet hard stop piece that holds the kicker in once recessed into position. My old one just fell out of the case while I was pulling the side cover off the other day, seemed to be a good time to replace the said item :D . Keep us posted on any ideas or suggestions you might have and I will do the same as I plan on working on this problem in the next two days or so.

Regards,
