hi i have fc470 2001 ,i would like to remove starter motor and battery to make it lighter cos its so easy to start with kickstart , what problems will i encounter in doing this and how do i get around these problems . cheers

ideally you'd pull the two gears in the engine as well as using a blanking (alloy) bung in the hole for the starter motor.
suggest that you sell, the gears, battery box, HT wires and solenoid as a package. you will get decent money for them.
you can even let me know....!
