jus bought a 99 fe 501 from a buddy and now its like the kick start gear is stripped because i can get 1 kick then it misses until it goes all the way around then if i am lucky i get another half kick where it grabs. whats wrong?

the "keyhole" isn't dropping into the gear. they can get very worn so you may need to replace it. they can also bind which can be a *******!
it you check this it will only leave the keyhole jumping off the sledge and that i doubt.
i'd appreciate it if you had the manners to say hello and request info. seems to me that for a first post you need to show some more ettiquette. please add your location and bike in your signature.

sorry about that i was really tired so hello ya'll thanks for the response is it a pretty easy fix orshould i take it to a shop
