Kickstand....

I am looking for an aftermarket kickstand for my 2001 FX 470 e. The photo of the bike from the factory shows the bike with one, but my bike never had one. Has anyone used one of the clamp on type? I am really uneasy about welding an ear onto my frame to install a Husqvarna stand I have from my 2006 WR 250.....It is the right length and all, but man I do not want to start welding on my frame...dang.....

I have had zero luck finding aftermarket kickstands that would work. Your FX should have come with a kickstand. The only bikes without the kickstand mount were FC's.

My 01 FX did not come with a kick stand.

Husaberg used to offer a weld-on kick stand kit

I purchased this a few years ago on ebay and used it on my 97. Try a wanted ad in the classifieds and see if a dealer can still get or has one.

You could buy a new OEM kick stand piece and make the bracket.

Perhaps get a aftermarket swingarm clamp-on kick stand made for another brand.

Interesting. My 01 had the kickstand (now json's). Perhaps put on by the original owner, but I dont think so.

The 01's had so many issues whats one more, we"ll just say:

....you may or may not receive a kick stand with an 01 model, it just depends on who was grabbing the frames at the factory that day.......

kickstand

I e-mailed motoxotica...maybe he has something......as for the next best thing, I am wondering what to order to get a clamp on stand...do I order one for a yz 250 or a ktm 450 or what? .........I really want a stand....maybe more than I want my electric start to work.......

Inflatable??? No, that would have been an upgrade. Thats about as good as you can get in WV. You can find more pictures of the Husa-**** in the Hatfeild McCoy gallery.
Apparently this is the fun we were missing in the F1-F3 rides.
